I was raised in a Christian home and my mother shared Christ with me when I was 4. She told me at that time that I trusted Christ. I could not remember and would often be bothered with my assurance. Then at 18, while attending college, I committed my heart fully to Christ. I am grateful for God's protection and care during that time.
What a miracle, for God to bring my attention to The Chapel. I was trying to build a ministry like The Chapel ministry but was facing often what seemed to me insurmountable odds. I was weary, and discouraged and was led to make contact with The Chapel Senior Pastor to consider taking over or merging with The Chapel. Little did I know that God was leading me to become part of a church just like he was challenging my heart to build. I am so excited to often see our pastors lead us in a direction that I had burning in my heart to do with our people. I am thankful God led us to become a part of this wonderful ministry.
Beside Christ, my family is probably the greatest interest I have in life. I am thankful for the way God has worked in each of their hearts. I am a husband, dad, grandfather, wedding officiant, small business owner, and Justice of the Peace. I love the Gulf Coast, Smokey Mountains, the Black Hills of South Dakota (my wife's home) any place in Colorado, and of course my home town Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I have been married to my wife Carol for 44 years. We have three married sons, a daughter and nine grandchildren.
I see God using The Chapel to lead great numbers of our people leading souls to Christ, discipling those same believers, impacting this entire city for Christ and establishing a number of satellite locations (both in the city and along I-10 and I-12 where there is availability for college ministry), and a large community group ministry and world missions outreach sending adults and students, a vibrant Youth Ministry building for the next generation and great children's programs.
