Hurricane Harvey Response
Louisiana knows all too well the devastation that hurricanes and flooding can bring. The 2016 March and August floods showed the resiliency of Louisiana’s citizens and our ability to come together in the wake of tragedy. This year, our neighbors in Texas and Southwest Louisianans need our help in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
The governor's office is asking for help in getting the word out about donations sites and volunteer opportunities in Louisiana and Texas to assist those affected by Hurricane Harvey. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in helping, please visit volunteerlouisiana.gov. Listed on their website are drop-off sites for donations, the types of donations being accepted, and contact information for those who are coordinating volunteer efforts.
