Internationals

All Internationals are invited to join us on Friday, November 16th, 6:30-8:30 PM at the Campus location for an evening of food, fun, great entertainment and an opportunity to make American friends. Please bring a dish from your country to share. The event is free, childcare is available, and we offer transportation.

Conversation Partners

Thousands of Internationals from hundreds of countries live in Baton Rouge. Hundreds of them come through The Chapel every week. They all share a big need; learning and practicing English. We are looking for people to meet with them and help them as they learn a new language. And, we will be able to meet their greatest need; experiencing the love of Jesus.

Furniture Ministry

The Furniture Ministry assists Internationals who need furniture and household items. It is an expression of giving unconditionally through the love of Christ. We accept donations of slightly used furniture and other household items and distribute them to people who need them on a first come, first served basis. Our volunteers work twice a month (usually Saturday) to pick up and deliver donated items. If you are donating furniture, please expect to wait about 2-3 weeks. If you are able to bring the item to our storage unit, we can make arrangements.

We also need volunteers who want to serve and interact with internationals, most of whom are new to Baton Rouge. If you would like to serve in the furniture ministry, please email for more information.
