Jesus said to “Go and make disciples of all nations…” At The Chapel, we believe that this command was not for a select few who are called to go to the far corners of the world, but this is a command for every follower of Christ. As a church, we seek to fulfill this commission in a number of ways, involving everyone in our church so that every nation of the world would worship Jesus for the glory of God. As a church, we:
Joining God in His mission in the world is difficult when we don’t know what that mission is and what the needs of the world are. As a church, we believe it is important to learn how we can find out what God’s plan for the world is and how we fit into that plan. Click the link below for a way to learn about his mission.
Whether God raises up people from our church to serve short term, for a summer, or for a lifetime, we want to see followers of Jesus released into the world with His light. There are still billions of people in the world who have never heard the name of Jesus. From Abraham, to Jesus, to Paul, and through today, God’s method has always been to send His people into the world. Click below to see ways that you can go.
“And how are they to preach unless they are sent?” (Romans 10:15). If God’s method to reach the world is to send His people to the world, His people need to be sent and supported. As a church, we seek to partner with people going to the world by praying, equipping, giving financially, encouraging, and visiting.

Patrick Johnstone says “The work of the children of God is not doing, but praying.” We believe that God moves through prayer. If we are going to see anything happen in the world for the Kingdom of God, we need to be praying as a church.

The world is getting smaller. People from countries all over the world now make their home in Baton Rouge. They are here to study, learn English, or seek a better life. It is difficult to live in a place where you don’t have any friends and don’t speak the language. As a church, we seek to welcome visitors from other countries to our home, and help them how we can. Whether it is through teaching English, making new friends, or providing rides to the grocery store, we want to help make their transition as easy as possible through the love of Jesus Christ. Click below for ways to get involved with welcoming the nations that God has brought to our doorstep.

Once we've learned about God's heart for the world and we know the current state of world evangelization, we discover there is work to be done. 1/3 of the world is considered to be "unreached." A Mobilizer is able to sound the rallying cry and teach the things they've learned to others (2 Timothy 2:2) to see the whole Church reach the whole world. You don't need to be an expert, you just need to know something you can pass on. This information is too important and urgent to keep to ourselves.
